Buenos Aires, January 29, 2026 (NA) — A new modular vehicular bridge has been opened to traffic over the tracks of the Sarmiento Railway, between the Haedo and Ramos Mejía stations. This area has heavy traffic due to its proximity to the Güemes Hospital.
According to the Argentine News Agency, the activation of this crossing aims to speed up traffic and reduce road safety risks in the area. The project had been stalled since December 2023 before being resumed for completion.
As reported by Trenes Argentinos, the bridge is a single-lane, U-type structure designed for light vehicles. It is 4.5 meters wide with a maximum height of 3.8 meters. Its opening was made possible by work on signaling, demarcation, and signage.
